Calming overwhelm: anxiety, stress and a system that runs too fast
Updated: Oct 14
Anxiety and long-term stress are among the most common patterns people live with. Anxiety isn't "overreacting". It's often the body asking for regulation.
When the internal wiring is overloaded, thoughts loop, the heart races and the body braces for something that never quite arrives. It's a system running faster than the moment needs.
Think of it like a guitar string. When stress builds, the string tightens and vibrates sharply. Understanding why it's tight doesn't loosen it. The loop runs faster than thinking.
Underneath, there's often unresolved emotional charge: an older imprint that taught the system to stay ready. The reaction made sense once. It just kept running.
In Unravel sessions, we work with that pattern underneath rather than the anxious thoughts on top. Sessions are private and remote, with no retelling your story. Some people describe clearer thinking or a softer baseline afterwards. Everyone's experience is different, and there's a check-in after each session so the next one can be adjusted to you.
Unravel works alongside medical care, counselling and medication, never instead of them. If anxiety is affecting your health or safety, please talk to your GP as well.
